Cushing's disease was discovered during Ubee's intake vet visit and although this is a very serious disease, it is being controlled by a medication called ketoconazone. This medication is also given to humans and is quite costly at over $70 per month.

Ubee requires special care because she is missing fingers on both hands, has bad hips, and bad teeth. Despite all of these ailments, she still enjoys sunning outside (for the first time in her life!), eating the many special treats and fresh fruits and vegetables she is offered, and threatening the sanctuary dogs.
