George arrived in 2000. He is a male patas monkey 5 years of age. George was surrendered to the sanctuary by his previous owner, due to a move that could not allow George to go. Upon his arrival, the veterinarian certificate states weight: 6 pounds. Since his arrival to the sanctuary, George now weighs 22 pounds. George was castrated at an early age so he will never develop the muscle mass of an intact animal. George came from New Jersy. The baby George was bought in Florida, from Parrot Jungle, I am told by his owner. George is a cage mate to Gabby, a 7 year old patas male. |
