Mikey, a stump tailed macaque, arrived in 2002. We believe he was probably over twenty years old. For the first seven years, he was badly abused, beaten about the head and body and shot with blow darts. He still suffers from nerve damage in his feet. He was taken to the vet and the doctor placed him with a new owner who loved and cared for Mikey for thirteen years. When he was brought to Mindy's, he clung to his owners neck and did not want to let go, then he saw Olivia. It was love at first sight and they have been together ever since. |
